Official figures — October 2026. These are the confirmed prices published by the Department of Mineral and Petroleum Resources (DMPR), effective Wednesday, 7 October 2026. Petrol 93 rose 312 c/l, petrol 95 rose 333 c/l, diesel 500ppm rose 284 c/l, diesel 50ppm rose 324 c/l and illuminating paraffin rose 358 c/l. The previous official prices took effect on 2 September 2026.

What is available today: PetrolPrice.co.za publishes official fuel prices as tables on its pages. It does not currently offer a public API or downloadable data files.

Prices are in rand per litre with a plain decimal point and ISO dates, so Excel reads them as numbers and dates without editing.

How to use the data
- Select the table on this page and copy it.
- In Excel or Google Sheets, paste into cell A1. The columns will separate automatically.
- Format the first column as a date and the others as numbers with two decimals.
- Add a column for your litres and multiply by the price to get a cost.
Useful formulas: monthly change =B2-B3; percentage change =(B2-B3)/B3; cost of a fill =B2*50.

Not at present. You can copy the tables on this site into Excel.
Are the prices inland or coastal?
The table uses the Gauteng inland zone. Coastal petrol is 87 cents per litre lower.
When does the price change?
On the first Wednesday of every month. The current prices took effect on 7 October 2026 and the next adjustment is due on Wednesday, 4 November 2026.
