Why prices were so low

The lowest prices in this record came in early 2015, after the international oil price crash of late 2014, and in May 2020, when lockdowns collapsed fuel demand and Petrol 95 fell to R12.22. In today’s money the February 2015 price is worth about R17.40 per litre.
