Petrol 93 rose 312 c/l, petrol 95 rose 333 c/l, diesel 500ppm rose 284 c/l, diesel 50ppm rose 324 c/l and illuminating paraffin rose 358 c/l. The previous official prices took effect on 2 September 2026.
The inland price of Petrol 95 is R30.25 per litre from 7 October 2026. That is the Gauteng price, the benchmark for the interior; other inland zones range from R29.84 to R31.23.

Why this area differs from other regions
Fuel is priced as if it were imported at the coast and then moved inland. The further a zone is from its supply point, the larger the transport charge. Every other part of the price, including the fuel levy and the margins, is the same across the country.
